On the Internet, do you use your real name? In chat rooms? In Online Clubs? In RPGs?

No, of course not. You use Aliases. How else are you supposed to guarantee your anonymity? With this in mind, what's wrong with having multiple aliases?

But what happens if these extra names take on different personalities? Lead different lives? Enjoy varying music? Take up new hobbies? Show different interests? What if you had to suddenly live with these new, alternate manifestations of you?

You should ask Chris... he was a normal high school student, living his life as normal, as anyone else would. Or rather, living his lives. Chris was more than one person: he was several. In real life, Chris was Chris, who went to school, did his homework, and hung out with friends. However, online was a different story.

On the Chat Rooms, Chris was known as terminatrkid, a simple person, just wanting to make friends, naive to the subtleties of life. On the message boards, Chris was Slate, a much more aggressive, sometimes just plain mean individual when it came down to expressing opinions and getting a point across.

Things were going pretty well for Chris. He was successfully juggling three different lives! Then, one day, everything fell apart.

A rift in the fabric of the universe hurled two strangers into Chris' home dimension, the two very people Chris thought he had created, Chris had lived as, and, until that moment, Chris had considered to be: Slate and terminatrkid. Now Chris, has to live with his two representations in his house. They live with him, forever a testament to the evolutionary power of the internet.

FAQ

I can't see your comics!
My comics (every one of them after this comic) are done in Flash. Meaning, you need a Flash Player to view them. Click here to get what you need to see them.

Where did the word "Carzorthade" come from?
Originally, I used the aliases "Chris Paluszek", "terminatrkid", and "Slate" on the internet, for e-mail, chatting, and message boards, respectively. Unfortunately, using three separate names on the same internet, with three different passwords, can get somewhat excessive. Eventually, I came across an internet name generator, with slots for "First name", "Middle name", and "Last name". When you entered the criteria, the generator would mix up all the letters, and make a whole new name. I tried my real name, but the result wasn’t all that exciting. So instead, I tried my three internet names. Lo and behold, what should appear before me, but the word "Carzorthade". At first, I didn’t really understand it, but it sounded cool, so I used it as my new online alias to replace all the others. I never had any idea it would eventually inspire a webcomic of my own.

How do you pronounce "Carzorthade"?
Heck if I know, and I made it up! I would like to pronounce it exactly as spelled, "Car-zor-thade," but in casual conversations, it comes out "Car-zur-thade." So, say it however you like... just try spelling it correctly.

How do you pronounce "Hecate"?
However you want to. Personally, I pronounce it "Heh-cah-tay," which is how my Latin teacher pronounced it. But, I've also heard it pronounced it as "Heh-cate," or "Heh-kit," so whatever floats your boat.

What's with Hecate? Why does she switch between light and dark bubbles?
Hecate, during "that time of the month," is a different person entirely. She's Cate, the practical opposite of Hecate. Neither Hecate nor Cate know of their other self, nor can they remember events that transpire during that fateful week. It's explained in her bio.

What is Slate?
He's pretty much a golem. You know, a person-shaped rock moving around. Except Slate's way smarter than those normal golems out there. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones who are like, "Mhuuuarrrn," and brainless and stuff.

When do you update?
Since I tailor my schedule to fit my classes, so sometimes it can get pretty strange. As of now, my current update schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

It's 12:01 AM, on <scheduled update day>!You didn't update! What's the deal?
Sometimes, real life gets in the way. Or, I don't have an idea. Or, I do have an idea, but it's stupid. I'm somewhat selective in what I make comics out of. I don't like making filler comics, just to update with.

What's with Jaks Tales and Count Your Electric Sheep?
Both were side comics, story ideas I explored to relieve the tedium of Carzorthade's punchline jokes. Count Your Electric Sheep has concluded, but Jaks Tales has evolved into a comic of its own, but it's on hiatus.

When will Jaks Tales's hiatus end?
Don't worry, it's not one of those projects that someone puts on hiatus for a long time and then says, "That's it, I give up." It'll come back eventually. I'll keep you posted.

You haven't answered my question!
